Care Shaped by Compassion

Barbara’s personal experiences have deepened her compassion for patients facing anxiety, depression, grief, illness, and difficult seasons of life. She understands that patients sometimes need answers, sometimes need encouragement, and sometimes simply need someone who will listen.

Every Patient Has a Story Worth Hearing

Hi, I’m Barbara. I have 45 years of experience in the medical profession. I have loved every area that I’ve worked in. Although I have worked in multiple areas, I have a special place in my heart for the care of the aging patient. I also have over 20 years of experience in Pediatric care, which I love. I have extensive experience in understanding mental health care. I truly understand the struggles of those with anxiety, depression, and suicidality because I’ve lived through those struggles with those I love.

Sometimes my patients need answers.

Sometimes they need encouragement.

Sometimes they simply need someone to listen.

Whatever season of life you're facing, my goal is to provide compassionate medical care with kindness, respect, and hope. I am a hug when needed and a shoulder to cry on, and I’ll cry as well.

I’ve learned that no matter how great the trial or the mountain to overcome, God has a plan for each of us, and the sun will eventually come up. For this reason, I’ve chosen a sun rising behind a mountain as the logo for my new clinic. I have learned that trials bring blessings and strengthen us. My personal experiences have taught me that life's greatest challenges often deepen our compassion. Those experiences have shaped me into the provider I am today—one who believes every patient deserves dignity, understanding, and hope.

Barbara’s Journey of Becoming a Compassionate Healthcare Provider

Barbara Hilton, APRN, FNP-C

Guided by a strong desire to help others and a belief that the best medical care comes from taking the time to understand the story of each patient, Barbara began pursuing a career in nursing over 45 years ago. She earned her Associate of Science in Nursing from Brigham Young University and later completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Southern Utah University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. In 2018, she felt inspired to continue her education and later earned her Master of Science in Nursing–Family Nurse Practitioner from Chamberlain University, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

Throughout her career, she has worked in a wide range of healthcare specialties, including pediatrics (for twenty years), maternity, labor and delivery, medical-surgical, orthopedics, oncology, neurosurgery, home health, hospice care, and family practice. She worked on the PICC line team in the hospital’s Outpatient Infusion Clinic for 15 years, where she placed central lines throughout the hospital with her team members.

With over 45 years of clinical medical experience, Barbara has played an integral role in supporting her patients with an approach that leaves them feeling heard, understood, and that there is hope in their health journey.
